Founder and Managing Principal
Chris is both a registered architect and interior designer, with over 30 years of experience. He founded Mekus Tanager in 1984, and has developed the firm's practice to include corporate, healthcare, higher education, government, and religious clients. He remains personally involved in many of the firm's projects, covering all of our market sectors. Chris champions an interdisciplinary design approach that helps us integrate design ideas and solutions from all different corners of our industry.
Chris has developed a niche in the cemetery industry. For over 30 years, he has been on the cutting edge of cemetery design, and has pushed his clients to broaden the architectural horizons of the industry. Chris' experience qualifies him as one of the foremost experts on cemetery architecture in the world, and he frequently publishes and lectures within the industry.
Chris is an alumnus of the University of Cincinnati's College of Design of Art, Architecture and Planning, and remains an active supporter of the university.
